REGISTRATION / BOOKING CONDITIONS
Enrolment Fee:There is a £50 registration fee payable on all courses. Public examination fees are not included in course prices. Kings’ reserves the right to change prices / conditions / course timetables at any time prior to registration. Homestay accommodationis available from the Saturday or Sunday before the course starts. No refund is given for early departure. A charge applies for extra nights. Courses start on Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday). Public holidays: Tuition is not given on public holidays. Lessonson adult courses usually run from Monday to Friday but summer courses may include lessons on Saturdays. Acceptance of registration: written acceptance of registration by the school constitutes a firm agreement for the period specified on the registration form. Payment:full fees must be received 4 weeks before the start of the course (if registration is made less than 4 weeks before the start of the course, full payment must be made at the time of registration). Class expulsion / exclusion:The Principal and Director of Studies reserve the right to exclude from class any student who, for reasons of general misconduct, lack of ability, poor discipline, poor progress or poor attendance is not qualified to enter that class. No refund is due in the case of expulsion. Travel and other costs incurred as a result of expulsion must be met by the student or by the student’s guardian. Liability:The King’s School Group shall not be liable under any circumstance for its failure to provide any services whatsoever if that failure is caused directly or indirectly by industrial action. Any damage to School property, whether intentional or not, will be charged to the student responsible. Accommodation:King’s acts solely as agents (and not as principals) in the arranging and providing of homestay accommodation for students. Compact / Intensive Term / Year courses:Students are permitted a maximum of 2 weeks holiday during a 24-week course and a maximum of 3 weeks holiday during a 36-week course. Holidays must be taken as one block and must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. An administration fee will be charged for any changes in holiday dates. No allowance is made for students taking holiday during their course and no refund is given for days missed. Jurisdiction:For any dispute arising out of this contract, the parties expressly agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction in the matter in question. Cancellation / Withdrawals / Late Arrivals (must be notified in writing to the school) Cancellations received more than 4 weeks in advance: All courses - King’s will arrange a refund of all fees paid except £50 registration fee + any associated bank charges. Cancellations received less than 4 weeks in advance due to visa refusal:(applies to all courses): on receipt of a visa refusal letter from the relevant consulate / embassy, King’s will arrange a refund of all fees paid except £50 registration fee + any associated bank charges. Cancellations received less than 4 weeks in advance due to other reasons:No refund for Intensive / Compact Term / Year courses or University Access / Foundation courses. For other courses Kings will arrange a refund of all fees paid except £170 (combined deposit / registration) + any associated bank charges. Withdrawals:Four weeks’ notice in writing must be given for withdrawals from a course. No refund for Intensive / Compact Term / Year courses or University Access / Foundation courses. For other courses 4 weeks notice in writing must be given. Late Arrivals:No fees are refundable in the case of late arrivals for a course.
